Após meses de expectativa e especulação, Katy Perry lança “Watch It Burn”, acompanhado de um impressionante novo videoclipe que continua exatamente de onde “bandaids” parou.
Em “Watch It Burn”, Perry entrega um hino afiado e emocionalmente sem filtros sobre o que acontece quando anos de silêncio, de tentar agradar os outros e de uma postura de “amor e luz” finalmente chegam ao limite. Em sua essência, “Watch It Burn” fala sobre permitir-se sentir a raiva de forma genuína, parar de minimizar a dor e deixar que as emoções reprimidas finalmente venham à tona.
A música foi produzida por Justin Tranter (Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa), Jason Gill (Katseye, Zara Larsson), Eren Cannata (Teddy Swims, Demi Lovato) e Daniel Crean (Katseye, Sofia Carson), e escrita por Katy com Tranter, Cannata, Crean, Gill, Amanda “Kiddo” Ibanez e Skyler Stonestreet. “Watch It Burn” combina os vocais marcantes de Katy com uma vulnerabilidade crua e uma catarse explosiva.
